The Archaeological Museum
It is located next to the entrance of the market and is considered one of the most important archaeological museums in the country. Pictures of the ancient Thassian market and the Byzantine era reside in the museum.
It is a two-storey traditional building along the harbor, housing artistic exhibitions and cultural events.
The Monastery of Archangel Michael
Built on the rocks, southeast of the island in the area Astris, the monastery offers stunning sea views. It is an architectural gem and is worth visiting during your stay in Thassos.
Palataki in Limenaria was built in 1903 and was the headquarters of the German company "Speidel", which used the quarry of the region.
The Church of Virgin Mary
Built in 1831 by the inhabitants of Kastoria with money collected from locals and the monastery of Vatopedi, the church is of historical significance, since it was made of stones that came from ruins of ancient temples. The lake of the village of Maries, which is the only lake on the island and has such dense vegetation.
The Folklore Museum of Theologos
Housed in the two-storey mansion "Hatzigiorgis" in the center of the village, the museum features great exhibits of the Thassian cultural tradition and the local daily life.
